De-amalgamation and admissions consultation for Royds Hall

We are hoping to officially de-amalgamate Royds Hall Community School into three separate academies:

Royds Hall, A SHARE Academy
Beech, A SHARE Primary Academy
Luck Lane, A SHARE Primary Academy

This simply reflects the current working arrangements and should have no impact on other schools or academies in the area whatsoever.

The attached consultation paper provides details of our reasons for de-amalgamation. Please note that it should support our academies with funding.  Initial reactions from parents seem to be positive and we will no way destabilise current admission arrangements, which we will also be consulting on as part of this process.  Enclosed with this letter are our draft Admissions Policies for all three academies, which match current arrangements to avoid any impact on other local schools.

The consultation period will run from 14th October to 9th December and consultation meetings will be held at each school site as follows:

Beech Academy:         4th November at 3.00pm
Luck Lane Academy:   4th November at 4.30pm  &  8th November at 8.30am
Royds Hall Academy: 12th November at 5pm

You are welcome to attend any of the events if you wish and we are keen to hear your views and suggestions.  You may also get in touch by letter or email to ask any further questions and we will respond to all questions, although please note we may not be able to do this personally.  Any answers will be published on our website www.sharemat.org.

I look forward to seeing you at the consultation events and receiving your written responses to both the de-amalgamation and admission arrangements in due course.

Yours sincerely
